Take three-phase asynchronous motor for example. Construction of AC motor is also divided into two parts: the stator and the rotor.
The stator is a fixed part of the AC motor for generating a rotating magnetic field. It mainly consists of the stator core, the stator windings and base.
The rotor is the main part, there are two rotors, squirrel cage and wound. Master their own characteristics and differences. Squirrel-cage motors are suitable for small power (100K or less), and its structure is simple, working is reliable, and maintenance is very easy.
Wound improves startup performance and adjusts the size of the speed. The gap between the stator and the rotor, it will affect the performance of the motor, the air gap thickness is generally between 0.2-1.5mm.
